I realized I wanted to be a designer while I was a member of my high school yearbook staff. Only juniors and seniors were allowed to join, but I persuaded the advisor to let me join as a sophomore. For three years I worked as a staff member and realized I loved conceptualizing ideas and seeing them come to fruition. I was hooked and have been slinging text and images together ever since.
My background includes extensive experience in print and digital for mission-based organizations, education and curricula companies, book publishers, media groups, and the spa and wellness industry. Most recently I designed yearbook themes for a Silicon Valley tech company, and prepared these designs for use in their online app by schools all over the country. I've also branded an international non-profit and dipped my toe into the political realm by designing digital ads for a progressive political campaign in Florida. I recently jumped headfirst into the world of video editing and animation because I love learning. Other interests include obsessing over the care of my ever-growing plant collection, playing video games, attempting to sew, and most recently, decorating cookies for fun (cookiesbybrookies).
My true passion lies in working for a company that is committed to making positive change in our world, no matter what form that may take. My extensive experience has granted me a wealth of knowledge in many areas of design, so I am open to many different scenarios for employment or freelance.
