BRANDING
In 2018, I led the rebranding of CAPL (Curriculum, Assessment, and Professional Learning), a division of Kaplan Early Learning, refreshing its visual identity after many years of having no brand style at all. A few years later, Kaplan underwent a corporate-wide rebrand that introduced a new visual direction—one that no longer aligned with the CAPL branding I had established.
In 2025, I was asked to return as a freelance designer to rebrand CAPL again—this time making sure it fit with Kaplan’s newer corporate branding while still feeling like CAPL. I kept the triangle theme to represent the 3 pillars of CAPL, but gave it a fresh update to match Kaplan’s current style, adding more variations to use across materials. I also narrowed the color palette to five main brand colors and reimagined the catalog design, created new PowerPoint slide ideas, popup banners, and even a branded tote bag.
