BRANDING
Through Taproot, I was chosen to do pro bono branding work for Nerdy Girl Success, an international nonprofit based in Texas that prepares teenage girls to become future leaders by offering career & leadership summits, high school clubs, mentorships, and career prep programs in business, politics, the arts, and more. Their teen advisory board felt their current look was "old and grandmotherly", so I was tasked with giving this brand a complete overhaul.

With a name like "Nerdy Girl", the logo and branding needed to utilize that playful attitude and young vibe. I used the glasses element as a playful icon throughout their branding items, which makes them instantly recognizable and sets the tone for this organization's marketing. Even though I was only tasked with branding elements such as logo and colors, I expanded on this to include future expansion items such as notebooks and apparel. Once branding was finalized, I organized this nonprofit's brand components in Canva so their marketing could be handled in-house and would be easy as possible for whomever created their designs.
